Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
1. Who we are
Marto Studios ("we", "us", "our") is a content studio based in Denmark, run by Tobias and Marcus. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Questions about your data go to martostudioshq@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- If we reached out to you: we found you through your public profiles, for example on Instagram or a comedy club's website. We keep your name or stage name, your public handles and follower counts, and notes about our conversation.
- When you contact us or take the free trial: your name, stage name, email address, Instagram or Telegram handle, and the messages you send us.
- Your recordings and clips: the video and audio of your shows. These can include you, your audience and the venue.
- When you subscribe: your answers from the onboarding call (for example, topics you never want posted), the names of your channels, and the access you give us to them.
- Payments: Stripe handles your card. We see your name, email address and whether a payment went through. We never see your full card number.
- Channel statistics: if you want the monthly overview, we look at how your clips perform in your platforms' own statistics.
3. How we use it
- To make your free clips and deliver the service you subscribe to.
- To talk with you, answer questions and follow up on our conversations.
- To post on your channels and put together your monthly overview.
- To take payments and keep the accounts that Danish law requires.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your recordings or clips in our own marketing without your written permission.
4. Who we share data with
We use these services to run Marto Studios. They process data on our behalf and only for that purpose:
- Google (Drive and Gmail): storing recordings and clips, and email.
- Stripe: payments.
- Telegram: the Marto Assist chat.
- Airtable: our overview of customers and conversations.
- Instagram: direct messages.
- The platforms you ask us to post on, such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
Some of these companies are based in the United States. Transfers outside the EU rely on the safeguards that EU law requires, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
5. Our legal basis
- Contract: to deliver the free trial and the service you sign up for.
- Legitimate interest: to contact comedians based on their public profiles and to follow up on our conversations. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- Legal obligation: to keep accounting records.
6. How long we keep it
- Customers: we delete your recordings and unpublished clips within 30 days after your subscription ends.
- Free trial only: if you do not become a customer, we delete your recording and clips within 90 days, or sooner if you ask.
- Outreach notes: until you ask us to stop, or at most 12 months after our last contact.
- Payment and accounting records: 5 years, as Danish bookkeeping law requires.
